New Armor Descriptions
Bone Mail: This armor is made of many small bones, drilled out and strung together with cord or wire, and reinforced with larger bones. It is often worn by druids (who make it out of animal bones) and leshii (who may make it out of human bones).
Chain Hauberk: A hauberk is a one-piece set of chain armor. It is similar to a chain shirt, except it hangs lower, to just below the knee. Most chain hauberks have a hood attached that protects the wearer’s head. A hauberk is cheaper and easier to manufacture than regular chainmail.
Coin Mail: Popular nearly two hundred years ago, a few suits of coin armor are still in commission today. The coins are drilled out and strung together to create intricate patterns, including family crests, heraldric devices, and holy symbols. This armor is highly prized by its owners.
Dweorh Plate: The pinnacle of dweorhin armorsmithing, this is the preferred armor of dweorh knights and rulers. Without training in the use of such heavy armor, it is difficult to do anything other than walk while wearing dweorh plate.
Plated Leather: This light armor is made of thick leather reinforced with metal plates. The plates cover only large areas of the body, leaving the joints covered only by leather. Plated leather has enough metal components to vulnerable to rust attacks. Characters not proficient in plated leather find the plates awkward and constricting.
Scale Leather: This armor is made from hardened leather scales sewn onto a thin backing. It is lighter and more flexible than scale mail, but more time-consuming to craft. The leather is often dyed green and the scales cut into leaflike patterns. It is often worn by rangers and scouts.
