The Skyking appears as a 12 foot tall man, with bronzed skin, golden hair, and impenetrable black eyes. He is thick-bodied and muscular, and usually wears only a kilt, laced sandals, and a gold torc. He carries Eskishokar, or Skyshaker, his morningstar, in one hand and a crown in the other. He expects worship and fealty as his due, and will not heed those who go against him. Heavy rumbles and groans, as of distant thunder, or a morningstar-like hollow in a stone are often used as signs to his faithful.

Ruandir rarely speaks among the Elder Host, preferring to wait until the others are finished before rendering his judgement. Though decisions among the Host are purportedly among equals, Ruandir’s opinion carries much weight with the neutral deities. Eides actively rebels against Ruandir’s authority, and Darghin heeds it only when it suits him. Ruandir often seeks council from Ados, and works with Tamati in matters of war. Members of the Dalerain and Envidier often seek his patronage and support.

Followers of the Dawnrider are nobles, rulers and those interested in ruling, lawmakers, scribes, elementalists, and paladins. Evil followers of Ruandir are sometimes seduced by the philosophies of Nevias, the Tyrant,but others rule by means both equitable and lawful, albeit slim on compassion. Good followers believe that a ruler, leader, or hero must safeguard those beneath him as a shepherd protects his flock, and that to allow evil to harm their followers is a failure on their part. They often strike up relationships with followers of Madate, though the refusal of the justicars to submit to a temporal authority often crosses a Ruandian’s natural instincts.
