Talvijotun

Talvijotuns arise in human families with a frost giant ancestor.

Personality: Talvijotun are arrogant and proud. Neutral and evil talvijotun can be exceedingly cruel.

Description: Talvijotun stand between seven and eight feet tall, with pale skin and blonde or white hair.

Lands: Talvijotun have no lands of their own, but rather are born into the human peoples along the Kamuerhorns, including Utgard, Coldmarch, and Pelkot.

Religion:Many talvijotun worship Cheneitha, the Ice Maiden. Good talvijotun may worship Sif, the Lady of Battle.

Language: Talvijotun speak their regional tongue.

Talvijotun Racial Traits

• +1 Strength, +1 Charisma, -1 Wisdom: Talvijotun are powerful and charming, but egotistical and impulsive in pursuit of their desires.
• Medium: As Medium creatures, talvijotun have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
• Giant Type: Talvijotun are giants, and as such are not subject to spells that specifically target humanoids, such as charm person or hold person. Likewise, effects that affect giants affect talvijotun as well. Spells that they cast that normally affect only humanoids affect giants instead.
• Low-light vision: A talvijotun can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distingush color and detail under these conditions.

• Fire weakness: Talvijotun suffer a –2 penalty to any saving throw against a fire or heat effect.
