(The Learned God, the Lord of Books, the Eternal Sage, the Well of All Reason)

Neutral Greater Power of the Elder Host

Major AoC: Knowledge, Learning, Magic, Wisdom

Minor AoC: Law, Logic, Preservation of Knowledge, Oratory.

Enemies: Darghin, Tamati, Umoth, Eothor.

Avatar: Cleric 18 / Fighter 4 / Wizard 18

The Lord of Books usually takes on the form of a cloistered priest, in simple brown robes, brown hair with a tonsure, and hands stained from ink. He always carries a large skeleton key tied to his belt; this symbolizes all the knowledge that is not yet known, or that which has been lost. Those in his favor may dream clues to such knowledge; the truth of these dreams may be known from the image of a key that appears somewhere in them.

Among the Elder Host, Ados is often the moderator and de facto leader. His quiet voice and relentless logic work implacably to create consensuses among their number, even as those same traits outrage Tamati and Umoth, and Darghin seeks to steal away what Ados uncovers. He is well thought of among the Dalerain, and has mentored many as they ascended into divinity.

Ados is worshipped by wizards and sorcerers of all kinds, as well as bookkeepers, accountants, scribes, copyists, bards, poets, and anyone seeking to solve a mystery or untangle a dilemma. His priests keep many temple complexes and shrines, and work as scribes, copyists, bookmakers, and librarians for the populace. Evil priests seek dark knowledge and fell secrets from long ago, but all priests of Ados are renowned for their clear thinking and carefully thought-out planning, traits that make them formidable foes in any respect.
