The divinities of Shadowend can be divided into five groups: the Elder Host, the Dalerain, the Ascended, the Typhos, and the Envidier. The Elder Host are the primal forces, the first beings to walk upon the Wyrld. Dalerain are the children of the deities and mortals, while the Ascended are mortals who have won divine status by one means or another. Typhos are powerful, amoral, beings, progenators of monsters and enemy of the mortal races. The Envidier are hero-deities or saints, more powerful than mortals but less so than true gods.
The Elder Host (Greater Powers)
The oldest gods in Winterfall are known as the Elder Host. They created the mortal races, shaped the Wyrld, and gave birth to the lesser divinities. The Elder Host may create avatars as powerful as 40th level. There is a roughly 1% chance they will intervene in a situation that personally affects them. The Knowledge (religion) DC to recognize the symbol or symbols of a member of the Elder Host is 5.

The Typhos (Mad Titans)
The Typhos are the true children of the deities, the result of a tryst between two divine beings. Although born with the divine spark, they are unable to advance in power and can never attain true godhood. Many Typhos were born early in history, but as their stagnate nature became apparent, the favor of the Elder Host turned from them to the Dalerain. The Typhos, as a result, hate Dalerain and mortals alike. Many have outsider followers, and become known as archdevils or demon princes. Many monsterous races are the creation of Typhos, by design or by mixing their blood with mortal creatures.
Typhos vary greatly in power, but most are between 15th and 25th level. They do not have avatars, are not divinely aware, and have a 20% chance of interfering with anything that captures their attention. The Knowledge (religion) DC to recognize the symbol or symbols of a Typhos is 20
The Envidier (Divine Heros)
Quasi-powers are mortals who have gained immortality, but not divinity, or deities who have shed their portfolio and descended to near-mortal status. They may have followers and believers, but cannot grant priest spells or special abilties. The quasi-powers related to the Elder Host and the Dalerain are collectively known as the Envidier. Most quasi-powers are around 20th level. Quasi-powers do not have avatars, are not divinely aware, and have a 25% chance of interfering with anything that captures their attention. The Knowledge (religion) DC to recognize the symbol or symbols of an Envidier is 25.

Cults
There are a few congregations that do not worship a recognizable divine (or quasi-divine) being. The Fellowship of the Unholy Hand worships Orod's severed appendage as an icon of death. The Knights of the Blazing Glory pledge fealty to the memory of Bethios, the sungod killed by Umoth when the latter was freed from his prison by the Second Speaking of Te.
